Day #59 > MONDAY 21st DECEMBER
Mum & Bob off to the docs quite early as all-being-well today is Ditch that Neck Collar Day! They’re out from around 9.30am till 12.30pm, but once back Mum does indeed confirm she does not need to wear her collar any more. Phew. Fantastic news – truly fantastic, but slightly tainted as now she will have to ‘simply’ rely on how she feels herself to know if she’s overdoing it, as let’s face it, Bob won’t . . .
We have quite a quiet day really – Bob’s a bit spikey but that’s not a surprise, but Mum is relatively happy & we spend some time together walking Abel quite a way today. Clearly she’s happy that she doesn’t have to wear the collar again, but I have this sad feeling that she can’t really celebrate as she doesn’t remember she has to wear the thing anyway, so has nothing to lose. Sigh.
For once nothing of note to report; I’m keeping quite a low profile after the volatile weekend & we’re off to see Dr. Lyle tomorrow, so no point winding everyone up eh. Mum does some gardening, I do some tidying & that’s about it. Food – French onion soup, not too bad, but slimy onions – & then the joy of American cheesecake for dessert, before Jeopardy & bed as per usual.
