Day #16 – Sunny Sunday . . .

Day #16 > SUNDAY 8th NOVEMBER

I left for Church at 8.00am – so only saw Mum & Bob briefly & they were in their PJs.

Fantastic as usual – & the sun was finally shining for the two hour drive there too – hoorah; so worthwhile & healing received prayer on forgiveness too, which unearthed rejection for feeling that Mum was ignoring me by choosing Bob over me. It’s not about me . . .

I returned around 4.00pm & took Mum & Abel out for a walk – easy chat, told her my exploits & she remembered Den ’n’ Jen at church having visited last year, plus we recapped her situation with Bob & that he was on probation. All went well. We met a neighbour – Trip – who had just come back from his other house in the mountains – he seemed very pleased to see me & told me he’d call tomorrow afternoon as he’d love to have a coffee with me. Clearly he has something to tell . . .

Back at the house Bob put on a TV programme for Mum! Shock horror. Mind you, it was music from the Mormon’s Tabernacle Choir somethingorother, & initially found Bob singing along to it before he started watching something on his tablet with the volume up playing some background music. He really is deaf. And rude. Still, a little effort didn’t go unnoticed.

Dinner etc. went well & Bob even tried to make conversation – although it was yawnnnnnn about the value of cars. Still a little effort didn’t go unnoticed. Have I said that before? Twice in one day? Low benchmark though eh. Mum ate heartily – pork chop, asparagus & mash with onion gravy. Ok. Almost ‘normal’ food.

Nothing on TV after dinner so we chatted for 30 mins or so before Mum headed to bed, as she said she was tired. I was too, so followed soon afterwards & all quiet.

Admittedly I wasn’t there for most of the day, but Mum seemed on good form today. Confused yes – about people & place – but content & happy in herself. Encouraging.

Pit-stop en-route . . .
Bit of prayer time 🙏
Why oh why don’t we have locking pumps in the UK?!
