Day #46 – Bored, Bored, Bored . . .

Day #46 > TUESDAY 8th DECEMBER

Up as usual & no issues with Mum but Bob was in a foul mood. Again. He was deliberately obstinate & when asked ‘Bob, can you help Mum look for her neck collar please,’ he almost barked ‘Yep!’ at me. Charming. We’re seeing the Real Bob here – & Mum was bearing the brunt of it – good job we’re seeing the doc tomorrow to discuss this. Eventually we got hat, gloves, collar etc. together for our walk & within about 10 steps Mum said Bob was – & I quote – ‘horrible’ this morning. I had to agree, although would’ve chosen a different word entirely . . .

Walk was great – Mum good & I prayed over her, that she be filled with light & the truth to know her true worth & value, & to break off any strongholds that Bob & others have over her; that she is strong & a loved lady. She was very pleased with that – I also pray it makes a difference to her & she feels the loving grace of God in her walk today.

I settled down to messages & after a bit of faffing Mum decided to go back to bed for a nap. That surprised me actually, as she was bright as a button outside, so dear Lord I simply pray you fill restore her during her rest. Hopefully we’ll head out for a nice walk with Abel this afternoon – maybe take the car & head to the trail we keep talking about.

Now 11:50 am & just typed this up.

I hung around for a while & did some laptop work & kept myself amused whilst Mum did some stuff in the garden. Around 2.00pm I took Mum to the shops to pick up some milk & rice, simply to get her out of the house as Bob was continuing to be a grumpy arse. Offensive actually. Although doing nothing ‘special’, we had a nice ole chat & returned around an hour later. Walked Abel again & then made a cup of tea – of course before going for a siesta around 4.00pm; returned around 5.30pm to help with dinner. We ate, Bob continued to be arsey – deliberately misleading Mum about the heating sounding like rain – & completely blanked my experiences with ear blockage vs balance issues. Oh well, I whispered to him. What? He said. ‘Nothing, you wouldn’t listen anyway . . .’ I said. It summed up his day. And mine.

Watched Jeopardy & headed up to bed as soon as I could.

Man, if Bob carries on like this he won’t be around for much longer I thought, before being reminded yet again Mum is my focus. Let it go, let it go, in the words of some lesser-known song . . .
